2 cups of fresh pumpkin, or 1 can (15 oz)
4 cups vegetable broth
2 cups water
1 red onion. chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
2 yams, peeled and chopped
3 chopped garlic cloves
1 inch fresh ginger, peeled and grated
1 T white sugar
2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp tumeric (this was the first time I bought tumeric , and I do think it's a necessary spice)
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp nutmeg
