Ingredients
1 kg red cabbage, cut into strips
2 yellow onions, chopped
3 sour apples, peeled and cut into strips
1-1 1/2 tsp salt
1 pinch ground cloves
1 pinch allspice
200 ml raisins (optional)
200 ml water
5 Tbsp syrup
3 Tbsp vinegar
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a pan.

Boil covered over low heat for about an hour.

Season with syrup and vinegar.
The cabbage will be the tastiest if it's allowed to "ripen" in the fridge 10-12 hours.
