Pumpkin Wedges with Sage

Ingredients
Pie or sugar pumpkin
Fresh sage leaves
Black pepper

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Cut the pumpkin in half and scrape out the seeds.
  3. Place cut side down on a baking sheet.
  4. Roast until tender but not completely soft, about 30 minutes, and remove from oven. Turn oven to broil.
  5. Cut pumpkin into 2-inch wedges and poke the sage leaves into the fles. Season with salt (optional) and pepper, if desired.
  6. Broil until wedges are sizzling and sage is crisped, about 6 minutes.
