Salad Superbase: Pick one
60 g kale = 1 l or 4 cups finely chopped
100 g Romaine, finely cut = 1 l or 4 cups

Build the salad: choose two
10 grape tomatoes = 100 g 1 dry pint contains about 25 of them

finely sliced fennel 20 g

High-calorie toppers: choose one

1 Tbsp craisins = 8 g
3 walnut halves, broken into smaller bits


To make the salad: Wash the spinach and use a salad spinner to spin it dry. Place it in a large bowl and sprinkle with the salt. Add the tomatoes, fennel, and walnuts and toss with the dressing. Sprinkle with the cranberries, if using.
