I can still remember the first time I had one of these cookies at a church picnic as a kid...MMmmm. I've loved them ever since. Easy to make and always popular. A classic!
Found this recipe on the internet and made it last night for dinner. It is the best bread I have made since I got my bread machine. Crusty, light inside and absolutely delicious!
Similar to banana bread, this moist cake is enriched with creamy buttermilk, brown sugar, butter, walnuts, and rum. Apple juice can be substituted for the rum, and pecans for the walnuts.
