Purchased sugar cookies make a sweet "crust" for these colorful fruit pizzas. Make them throughout the year with a variety of fresh and canned fruits. —Marge Hodel, Roanoke, Illinois
This simple pork supper is a one-skillet wonder--it'll be your new go-to meal on busy weeknights. The green onions become tender and slightly sweet as they roast, a nice contrast to the spiced pork and crispy potatoes.
I always poached chicken when I needed cooked for a recipe - and I never liked the way it came out. I was watching Ina's show on the Food Network last weekend and this is how she cooks her chicken for recipes. I tried it and it was the most moist chicken I have ever had. I used it in chicken noodle soup - YUM!!! The recipe can be increased or decreased depending on how much cooked chicken you need. UPDATE 7/31/07 - I tried this method on boneless, skinless chicken breasts and it worked great - I baked for about 35 minutes and it was cooked perfectly!
A great quick bread that is not like your ordinary quot;dessertquot; banana bread - it's not overly sweet and the texture is moist yet sturdy enough to slice and make sandwiches! We like it with peanut butter and honey! Freezes well too.
This sweet-tart salsa recipe features crisp, slightly acidic Spartan apples, though Fuji, Jonagold, and Liberty apples would also work nicely. Serve with pork or roast chicken.
This quick-cooking stuffed pork chop recipe offers a nice balance of savory and sweet tastes. Serve with a side of simple roasted Brussels sprouts for a special meal that's full of fall flavors.
This is by far the best peach cobbler recipe I've found. It tastes more like the peach cobblers my mother and grandmother made. The dessert recipe is simple to make and all the ingredients are readily available. If friends or family are coming by, I can prepare this dessert, pop it in the oven and wait for the oohs and aahs as my guests are welcomed to our home by the warm aroma of fresh-baked peach cobbler. –Member Review
