It makes a lovely Christmas Gift in a Jar or heck make it for yourself and drink up every morning, and skip the 5 buck trip to Starbucks. Recipe calls for cardamon, but I can't afford it, so I skip it until I've hit the big time in the stockmarket. LOL The nutmeg and allspice is an added spice hit, use as desired. Also, I've been playing around with the amount of sugar, I like the sweetness with just 1/2 cup sugar. If you don't care for the residue in the bottom of your cup, I understand you can strain it with a fine sieve. Food for thought.

Pumpkin Pecan Pull-Apart Bread with Maple Bourbon Icing

I flavored the dough with the pumpkin and added cardamom. I love the warmth of cardamom and it is a great partner with pumpkin. The filling was simple, toasted pecans, sugar and melted butter. The dough is only lightly sweetened so a filling with sugar is perfect for this recipe. The cream cheese icing was really the star of this bread. We love maple. We love bourbon. And the two together with cream cheese and a little sugar is … heavenly.
