With all those layers of flavor going on, serving it up in a clear bowl is a must. As always, chocolate plus cherries adds up to one delicious dessert.
Forget about pasta salad being the same old, same old. Ripe vegetables and whole wheat noodles get together for a fresh-tasting, better-for-you take on a classic potluck fave.
This make-ahead dessert definitely has a party in its future. Spoon through layers of smooth pudding, moist cake and juicy berries for a deliciously smart treat.
I received this an email from ATK. I substituted dried cranraisins for the dried cherries, semi-sweet chocolate chips for bittersweet chocolate and used my hand mixer. Dried cranberries may also be used instead of the cherries. Quick oats may be used instead but will yield a cookie with slightly less chewiness. These cookies will keep for 4 to 5 days stored in airtight container or zipper-lock bag, but they will lose their crisp exterior and become uniformly chewy after a day or so. I only baked one cookie tray at a time. These were very good. I froze them in individual bags for a sweet treat.
It is very safe to say that I am addicted to making fruit cups. We eat them every morning for breakfast, and I am constantly trying new combinations of fruit. This is my latest- my favorite so far.
