I always poached chicken when I needed cooked for a recipe - and I never liked the way it came out. I was watching Ina's show on the Food Network last weekend and this is how she cooks her chicken for recipes. I tried it and it was the most moist chicken I have ever had. I used it in chicken noodle soup - YUM!!! The recipe can be increased or decreased depending on how much cooked chicken you need. UPDATE 7/31/07 - I tried this method on boneless, skinless chicken breasts and it worked great - I baked for about 35 minutes and it was cooked perfectly!
This is by far the best peach cobbler recipe I've found. It tastes more like the peach cobblers my mother and grandmother made. The dessert recipe is simple to make and all the ingredients are readily available. If friends or family are coming by, I can prepare this dessert, pop it in the oven and wait for the oohs and aahs as my guests are welcomed to our home by the warm aroma of fresh-baked peach cobbler. –Member Review
I received this an email from ATK. I substituted dried cranraisins for the dried cherries, semi-sweet chocolate chips for bittersweet chocolate and used my hand mixer. Dried cranberries may also be used instead of the cherries. Quick oats may be used instead but will yield a cookie with slightly less chewiness. These cookies will keep for 4 to 5 days stored in airtight container or zipper-lock bag, but they will lose their crisp exterior and become uniformly chewy after a day or so. I only baked one cookie tray at a time. These were very good. I froze them in individual bags for a sweet treat.
