This easy-to-make winning update of a favorite comfort food is a hearty main dish chock-full of colorful vegetables. Your family will request it every night of the week!
This is a WONDERFUL recipe that I have looked for over 7 years now! I finally got the recipe from Chef Betsy502, who has someone in her family that worked at Bob Evans, and then Impera Magna re-calculated all of the ingredients to make it a home-cooked meal for my family! YAY for the Chefs here on Zaar! This is so good! Such comfort food, I simply can't explain! ENJOY! (And thank you SO MUCH, Betsy502 and Impera Magna for helping me achieve my DREAM RECIPE!) :)
I love omelets but hate making them one at a time because I am at the stove while everyone is eating breakfast, then I end up eating after everyone is done. This solves that.
On the day before Thanksgiving I got a frantic call from my best friend. She needed Paula Deen's Broccoli Casserole recipe! I looked on Zaar and couldn't find it so I am posting it now. She says it is the BEST broccoli casserole. I have to take her word for it since I haven't made it.
Cheesy Spirals is from the Menus4Moms e-book, Bulk Cooking for the Freezer: Ground Beef and is also featured in the Busy Mom Menu. It is a good recipe to prepare when you buy bulk ground beef. You can brown your beef, use 2 lbs. for the Cheesy Spirals and freeze the rest in 1 lb. portions. The Cheesy Spirals recipe makes 2 pans, one for dinner and one for the freezer. If you have a smaller family and prefer to cook in smaller batches, you can probably get 3- 8"x8" pans out of this recipes instead of 1- 9"x12" pan and 1- 8"x8" pan.
Add chicken to cheesy mac, then give it a shake of hot sauce, and a favorite side becomes the main attraction at the family table. All in just 25 minutes.
There's nothing gourmet about this meaty casserole, it's just an inexpensive, simple, comfort meal that's continued to fill bellies for four generations
This is a quiche that is so easy and quick. I make it everytime I have company overnight or for lunch. You can substitute most any meat, ie chicken breast or pastrami or sausage. Also you can use spinach instead of broccoli. I have also added chopped tomatoes, but you need to cook a little longer if you do. I like to serve with crusty bread and a salad. My company always love this and ask for the recipe. Enjoy!
Dinner combo extraordinaire: topping chicken with cheese, ranch dressing and fresh veggies and cooking it all in one smart packet. It's low-cal, and cleanup's a breeze.
