I saw Paula Deen make this recipe on her Food Network program. I was looking for a really creamy macaroni and cheese recipe, and this is it! I changed it a bit by omitting the eggs (the original recipe calls for three) and boiling the macaroni for six minutes instead of seven, so it doesn't get mushy while cooking in the Crockpot. I also shortened the cooking time from three to two and a half hours. Perfection!
This Down Home, Southern-Style Chicken and Rice Dinner recipe contains instant brown rice, boneless skinless chicken breast halves, collard greens, reduced sodium chicken broth, black pepper and more.
When I was in college, I worked at Pappasito's as a waitress. I LOVED their brochette shrimp and I asked the cook for the recipe. He didn't give me the exact measurements, but he did give me the list of ingredients. I went home and played around with the quantities of the ingredeints and came up with what I think is very close to the real thing!
This Make-Your-Own Salad Bar recipe contains kraft ranch dressing, kraft cheese, eggs, oscar mayer thin sliced smoked turkey breast, salad greens and more.
I love omelets but hate making them one at a time because I am at the stove while everyone is eating breakfast, then I end up eating after everyone is done. This solves that.
This Carbonara Deep-Dish Pasta-Crusted Pan Pizza recipe contains ricotta cheese, pancetta, shredded provolone, extra-virgin olive oil, Parmigiano-Reggiano and more.
I make this dish often because everyone likes it, even my pickiest eater. I tell my kids that Cowboy Chow is what cowboys eat while out on the range (wink).
This is a chowder that uses ingredients that I almost always have on hand, so it is quick and easy to throw together before work, and come home to on a nice fall evening. Relatively easy to double as well for extra large families or get togethers.
This is a classic Potluck Chocolate-Peanut Butter pie. If you don't like peanut butter, step away from this recipe. I'm serious, man. You're in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you do like peanut butter ... you're about to get your fill!
We'll admit it, we can't stand the heat. So we're taking baked potatoes out of the kitchen for the summer, with a fluffy inside and skin so crisp you'll never miss the oven.
