As you eat this unique recipe the juicy, roasted tomatoes break apart into the pasta to make the sauce right on your plate. People at the table might not even notice the extra serving of vegetables you "hid" by grating squash into the pasta, but the flavor will make it a winner.
Last week, the butcher only had really small chicken breasts. Instead of buying extra I just stuck with two and figured I'd just make quesadillas or something with them. If you couldn't tell from m...
Stout brings out the meaty flavor of this chili perfectly. For best results, pick out a five-pound boneless chuck roast and have the butcher grind it for you.
I was so excited to see your best broiled steak recipe contest. Steak is one of my favorite foods and while barbecuing outside is ideal for some, it is one of the few barbecued meats that actually benefits from the broiler. Why? Because you can control the heat and it won't burst into flames when you put the lid down, run inside and came back out to find fat has dripped down into the flames and set your beautiful piece of meat aflame. This is a recipe my dad used to make when I was a kid. He is recently deceased (cancer) but his spirit lives on in the meat each time I eat it and think of him. He used to rub the entire steak in a liberal dosing of pure yellow mustard, then add salt and pepper. I have updated it a bit, by substituting dry mustard and changing the spicing a bit. But its still every inch his recipe. The key is to buy a New York roast and cut it yourself into nice 2 1/2 inch slabs (or have your butcher do it.)
This delicious pasta salad is the perfect accompaniment to Black Bean Burgers and it's always the side that I order with my meals at the Elk in Spokane. I've adapted their recipe to make at home. And although I'm definitely...
This is a recipe I made up by taking a few things from a couple different recipes to fit into our own tastes. I used a marinade on the chicken that is half western dressing amp; half italian dressing that our butcher store here at home makes...it is wonderful and a pink color...then just grill them up and slice onto your salad. You can use any marinated chicken breasts that fit your families tastes.
