I love creating new variations on tuna sandwiches. This one is made with basil pesto, and served on rye bread with slices of tomato and leaves of lettuce. I made this for my husband's lunch the other day, and he wanted them again for dinner that night!
Green bell peppers are filled with ground beef, cooked rice, tomato sauce, and seasonings, then baked for an hour with additional tomato sauce and Italian-style seasoning.
This is a very easy recipe (just the kind I like!) that I got from my sister-in-law. I like to make it in winter as a way to capture the barbecues of summer.
